Labor Day weekend

For Labor Day weekend, we decided we would try to go to the baseball game again.  We got rained out after the first inning the last time.  We started with dinner at Johnny Carino's - yum!
(I forgot my camera so all the pictures are from my phone.)
Rachael got pasta with chicken and broccoli.  She loved it! She also got a side of apple slices, which are julienned and sitting in a little lemon juice.

We were able to get our tickets exchanged for comperable seats.  Hooray!
And we got some cotton candy, too!

The home team (the Lexington Legends) put on a good game.

One of the attractions at Whitaker Field is a bit kids area with inflatables, a playground and a merry go round.  Unfortunately you actually need tickets to ride.  The kid running the merry-go-round did not tell us that, and by the time we figured it out, they quit selling tickets.  Mental note for next time.  She did at least get one ride on the merry-go-round.

Another fun thing at this ballpark is that they almost always do fireworks on the weekends.

Watching Rachael watch the fireworks was more fun than the fireworks!
We had a great time, and we hope to catch another game next year!
