We were looking for something fun to do at the end of the summer, so we decided to take Rachael to her first baseball game. We bought tickets ahead of time, packed up a blanket, found our baseball hats, and headed to the game.
We got to see the boy scout parade, the honorary first pitches (there were a few), and of course the mascots.

Finally the game got underway, the Green Jackets were up to bat. Three up, three down and that was the first half of the inning. Then the thunderclouds rolled in and the heavens opened up and poured. For an hour.
We waited in the stadium next to the kettle corn stand and watched a whole batch of kettle corn get popped. It warmed us right up!The game was, of course, eventually cancelled. To salvage the evening we went to Orange Leaf for some yummy frozen yogurt - Rachael got sprinkles.
So she has officially been to a half an inning of a baseball game... I hope we can make a longer game in the future!
