Anglin Falls - Almost

We set out on an adventure to find Anglin Falls. The directions we found were creative, to say the least, and we spent a lot of time consulting the atlas and figuring out where we were. It was fun - but I was really glad we weren't on a schedule.

During our travels we stumbled across another small waterfall and stopped for a few pictures.

Finally, we figured out the way to Anglin Falls. The picture below shows the large neon sign that points the way. (Don't blink or you might miss it! Yes, it really is attached to someone's mailbox).

As it turns out, it's about a half-mile walk up to the falls. Ordinarily this would not be a problem, but a fast-moving thunderstorm turned all the dirt to mud, and we weren't prepared for mud hiking. (Translation: I was wearing my Crocs flip flops. Kind of got stuck in the mud. A couple of times.)

We did find one place that the path crossed a small stream, and Rachael and I took the opportunity to clean the mud off our shoes.

Although we didn't make it to the waterfall, we still had a fun day. And now we know exactly where to go the next time!
