Decorating the Garden

For playgroup, we decided to make some signs for our gardens. Alex and Rachael each have a garden at their house, and we made signs for tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, carrots, and green beans. The kids had a great time coloring, but lost all interest in the colored pencils when I pulled out the laminating machine. We laminated them so they would be able to withstand the rain.
Here is a picture of one of our cute laminated signs.

And here is what they look like in Rachael's garden.
This was a fun activity! The kids loved the laminator... we might need to find some more things to laminate.

Is there another flower besides marigolds that works at keeping bugs away? I don't care for marigolds AT ALL.

VERY cute! I think i need to borrow the laminating machine and make some for OUR garden! (maybe that would keep the kids from stepping on all the plants ;-)
