Big Weekend

The weekend kind of started on Thursday morning for Rachael and me. We went to the $1 Thursday movie again, this time with our friends Tyler, Clark and Benson (all brothers) and Alex and Blake (also brothers). So much fun! The kids were all really great... it's kind of a shame the $1 movies are finished. Maybe they will run them again next year.

Rachael was very lucky to be invited to not just one but two birthday parties, both at Paradise Cove (the swimming pool) this weekend; one on Friday and one on Saturday. The weather was marvelous both days and we had a fantastic time.

We are fortunate to have such wonderful friends!
Last year, Rachael tried this slide once, then gave up on it. The kids can be pretty pushy (which makes me so mad - why are parents allowing their kids to act like such bullies?) but this year she is a little bigger and a little more able to stand up for herself. She's not facing the camera in this picture, but that's her white swimming suit with the wavy stripes and pink edging.
One of my friends remarked that Rachael looks quite a bit like an Easter egg in that suit... so true!

Daddy wasn't completely left out of any fun... he spent Saturday afternoon fishing. (But there are no pictures because his camera is full of sand from the Bahamas.) He had a great time, too!
