Rachael watched the inauguration with me today. Her expression captures a lot of what I feel: hopeful optimism mixed with fear and doubt. Plus, you know, he's a Democrat. She's just happy to have her picture taken with Sasha & Malia's dad. Seriously.
I have a cousin who names her kids after presidents. (Really! She has four so far: Lincoln, Truman, Jefferson, and McKinley. They are positively adorable.) As of noon today she can officially add "Obama" to her list of names for the next baby.
